Meet our team – Tony Vitello

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like working in Customer Success at EazyStock, or who’s behind the conversations helping customers get more from their inventory, you’re in the right place. We spoke with Tony, one of our Senior Customer Success Managers, and asked him to share his experience over the past few years, what his days actually look like, the challenges customers face, and a few things you might not know about him outside of work.

Almost 5 years at EazyStock! What’s your experience been like?

Being here for just about 5 years has been the best chapter in my career. I’ve been able to see the US business grow exponentially over the past 5 years. Professionally, it’s been very rewarding. I’ve learned a ton about different industries and how they operate, and been able to see our customers gain true value from our product.

What’s the biggest challenge your customers face, and how do you help them overcome it?

I think one of the biggest challenges my customers face is really getting a grasp on their inventory and how they are actually performing. A huge advantage to our software is that we keep track of important KPIs and continuously monitor these, so they do not have to plug a bunch of data sets into an Excel sheet. A lot of companies have an “idea” of where they are performing, but do not review it on a regular basis. Showing them what KPIs we offer and what they mean to their business is an eye-opener, and with that, saving time. Time is everyone’s most valuable asset. Most of our customers, before transitioning to EazyStock, are doing things manually. Inventory planning is a huge undertaking for most companies, and it affects the company’s financial performance directly. Being able to free up time for our users to focus on other areas of the supply chain that add more value to their organization is a huge value.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day really varies for me. Whether it’s helping support an existing customer, implementing a new customer, or forging a new relationship with a prospective customer. I love that I am able to expand my skillset in different areas of the business.

Can you share a proud moment or success story from working with a recent customer?

One of my proudest moments at EazyStock was setting the record for fastest to implement within the US business. The record right now in the US that I had set was 4 weeks. The customer was extremely happy as they were able to get value from the system very soon after signing up. It was absolutely a team effort from both our side and the customer’s side.

How does having a dedicated Customer Success Manager make a difference for EazyStock customers?

This is one area that my customers really find value when choosing EazyStock. They get the one-on-one attention they deserve. In addition, our CSMs all come from a supply chain background. Taking a more consultative approach where they can leverage our expertise in inventory planning to help improve their planning teams is a value add that all of our customers appreciate.

Outside of work, what’s something that keeps you inspired?

Outside of work, golf is something that really keeps me inspired. It’s one of the few places where I can challenge myself, stay present, and think strategically all at once. Every round teaches me something -patience, focus, resilience, and I find that those lessons translate directly into how I approach my work. Golf gives me space to reset, reflect, and come back with a clearer mindset and renewed motivation.

What is your favorite snack or drink to fuel while working?

Although I do love my snacks, I try to be good and not go crazy throughout the day. Unless someone from the UK offices brings me Mini Cheddars, I will eat an entire 10-pack of those. Coffee is a staple on my desk.

What’s something about you most people don’t know?

Most people don’t know that I was a two-sport collegiate athlete. Well, technically speaking! Soccer was my main sport growing up, and I played at a competitive level from age nine. I received a scholarship to play soccer at a college in Michigan and during my freshman year, they started a lacrosse program and needed to fill out the roster. Since I was already in shape from the soccer season, they asked me to join the lacrosse team as well. I wasn’t very good, but it was a ton of fun!
