Meet our team – Piotr Ochnicki

Piotr Ochnicki started out as a consultant at EazyStock and now leads Customer Success Operations while also working as a Customer Success Manager, so no two days look the same for him. We sat down with him to talk about how his role has evolved, how he helps customers build trust in the system, and a project that turned into a real success story. He also shares a few things about life outside work, including a past as a semi-professional rally driver! Pour yourself a coffee and read the full Q&A below.

Almost 7 years at EazyStock! How has the journey been so far?

It’s been challenging, rewarding, and anything but boring! I’ve had the opportunity to meet incredible people, make friends for life, and travel the world along the way. Rarely does a job give you all of those things.

How has your role evolved since you first joined?

I started as a consultant and gradually became a bit of a one-man army!

Today, as a CSM, I wear many hats: from sales and contract negotiations to business analysis, solution design, leading implementation projects, and supporting our customers and partners in any way, shape, or form necessary.

On top of that, as Head of CS Operations, I help shape how our Customer Success teams operate globally, designing processes, selecting tools, and implementing solutions that make our work more effective.

It certainly is a lot of different responsibilities, but that’s exactly what I love about it.

What does a typical day look like for you?

My days are like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re going to get!

What’s the biggest challenge your customers face, and how do you help them overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges is letting go of their old ways of working. Change isn’t always easy, especially when you’ve been doing things a certain way for years.

My job is to help customers build trust in the system, understand the logic behind it, and find the right balance between best practices and their unique business needs.

Can you share a proud moment or success story from working with a recent customer?

One story that stands out is when one of our partners reached out for help shortly after go-live. Rather than work over Teams, I arranged to go on-site and work through the challenges in person.

Through our conversations, we realised it was down to a misinterpretation of terminology. Once we understood that, we had a clear direction for aligning the setup more with the customer’s expectations.

I then brought our amazing tech team on board, whose expertise and commitment helped us deliver the solution and turn a challenging situation into a long-term success story.

The results were immediate, and the customer upgraded their subscription. Nearly a year later, they upgraded again to our top-tier edition, including our new Machine Learning Forecasting module.

Establishing a genuine relationship built on mutual trust with the people there is something I’ll surely cherish for years to come.

How do you find working with customers across different regions?

It’s genuinely one of my favorite parts of the job. Different cultures, different approaches to business, different expectations. There’s always something new to learn, and it certainly keeps things interesting!

Outside of work, what’s something that keeps you inspired?

I love traveling, exploring new places, discovering their history and trying to immerse myself in them. It broadens my perspective and helps me better understand today’s fast-paced, borderline chaotic world.

What is your favorite snack or drink to fuel while working?

I turn coffee into happy customers.

What’s something about you most people don’t know?

I used to be a semi-professional rally driver!
