With more than four years at EazyStock, Senior Customer Success Manager Marek brings a perspective that combines hands-on supply chain experience with years of helping customers get the most from their inventory data. Having made the transition from purchasing to consulting, he understands both the operational challenges customers face and the realities of driving change within a business. In this interview, he reflects on his journey so far, the lessons learned along the way, and the moments that make helping customers succeed especially rewarding.

It’s been a challenging yet incredibly rewarding journey. Joining EazyStock marked a major career transition for me, moving from a buyer/purchaser role into software, implementations, and consulting. It’s been a natural bridge because I get to advise clients using the exact domain expertise I relied on earlier in my career. Over the past four years, I’ve grown from purchaser to consultant and project manager, stepping up to help our customers. The broader company culture is genuinely inclusive and diverse, allowing me to collaborate closely across marketing, business development, and sales.
If I had to sum up the experience in a few words: dynamic, unpredictable, rewarding, and a continuous learning curve.
When I speak with customers, I’m talking to people whose shoes I used to stand in. I know first-hand the stress of a sudden stockout during a demand spike, the frustration of overordering due to poor visibility, or simply making an error in the spreadsheet formula, and the exhausting reality of chasing suppliers over delayed shipments. Because I’ve lived through those exact scenarios, I can offer genuine, practical advice, not just on using our software, but on how to handle the situation, what questions to ask suppliers, and how to fix the root cause. That shared experience instantly builds trust.
I was genuinely surprised by how transferable my skills were. Shifting from buying to software consulting felt like a massive leap, but with great onboarding and support, I realized that organization, logic, and clear communication apply everywhere. On the flip side, I fully expected to be using my Polish regularly with our dev team in Warsaw – only to discover we default to English 90% of the time! It was a funny realization, but it showed me just how seamless our cross-border teamwork really is.

Honestly, ‘typical’ doesn’t really exist in my world – and that’s what keeps it interesting! I usually start the day triaging my inbox to ensure there are no blockers stopping our customers from getting their work done. From there, my schedule is a mix of planned calls and fast-paced problem-solving as inquiries come in via email, phone calls, or direct messages on Teams.
Beyond the home office desk, I love getting out for customer site visits and road trips, which is always a great way to build deeper connections (even if it means catching up on emails afterwards!). We also head into our Birmingham office periodically to collaborate and catch up with the wider team in person.
The challenges really evolve as the customer matures. Initially, it’s all about baseline data – getting lead times and stock parameters clean in their ERP so EazyStock can deliver accurate results. From there, the main obstacle is cultural: helping team members step away from manual spreadsheets and build trust in automated decision-making. Once those foundations are laid, my focus shifts to working alongside them on everyday supply chain issues and queries, and showing them how to get the maximum value out of the software.
Success looks different for every client; for some, it’s saving hours by automating manual spreadsheet ordering, while for others, it’s optimizing availability and delivery schedules to cut freight costs. A recent standout was a large project with a customer down south. The business had very traditional ways of working, but we worked closely with a brilliant, highly analytical user who really understood supply chain math and data quality. Together, we found creative ways to integrate EazyStock into their broader purchasing workflow. The defining moment was seeing their stock holding drop by over £3 million – a real ‘penny drop’ moment that proved massive tangible value.

Outside of work, it’s all about staying active and being there for my family, even when my body protests! I’ve had my fair share of sports injuries over the years, from running to cycling to tennis elbow, but my philosophy is always to adapt, switch activities, and keep moving forward.
Beyond that, nothing inspires me more than supporting my kids in what they love. Whether it’s cheering on my daughter at her cheerleading competitions or standing pitch side in the pouring winter rain watching my son play football, those moments are pure joy. And whenever I do have a free weekend, my wife makes sure there’s a steady stream of DIY projects to keep me busy!
Coffee is non-negotiable: black, no sugar, and at least two cups daily to fuel me through customer calls. For snacks, my biggest challenge is managing a sweet tooth while working from home. With kids in the house, there’s an endless supply of snacks nearby, so staying away from the sugar drawer is a constant work in progress!
I’m fascinated by cosmology and astrophysics. In my spare time, I love diving into articles and documentaries about space, and how the universe operates. When you spend your day dealing with complex supply chain problems, contemplating the sheer scale of the cosmos is a great way to gain perspective – once you start to comprehend it, everyday challenges suddenly feel like a single grain of sand in the Sahara!
