Few people have witnessed EazyStock’s evolution as closely as Daniel. Over the last 13 years, he has watched the company grow from a small, entrepreneurial initiative into an international operation with a strong team, an expanding product, and a widening customer base. His perspective comes from years of hands-on involvement and a front-row seat to the many changes that have shaped the business.
In this Q&A, we asked Daniel to reflect on those experiences and the things that make EazyStock’s journey meaningful to him.

My story with Syncron started in 2004 when I joined Syncron as a consultant. Back then we were a 30-people-in-a-basement company, compared to the 800+ people all over the world today! I left Syncron to work as a management consultant for a few years, but came back to kick off and start EazyStock in 2013. I LOVED the culture at Syncron and the prospect and opportunity of EazyStock was way too compelling to turn down. And what a journey – from absolutely nothing, to the 50ish fantastic coworkers, the many partners and the 300 customers we have today. I could not be prouder.
We are still a fairly small but fast-growing business in full entrepreneurial mode – there is no such thing as a typical day! It goes all the way from working on five-year strategy planning, discussing detailed product features to be developed, working with partners, all the way to some days discussing detailed logistics with a customer, like how the target service level setting affects the bufferstock for a lumpy–moving product.

Hmmm, so many … I have always thought that there is something magical about America – “if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere” – and the day we signed our first customer in the US was a really special day. Still, to this day, it’s something very special for me to get to travel over the Atlantic, meet our team in the Chicago office, and see what they have done and are doing for our US business.
I don’t think we are very formal here at EazyStock, I really like to see this as an entrepreneurial initiative and that we should drive EazyStock in that spirit. That means I get to “dig in” where needed and, as I described earlier, there are highs and lows.
I like sports! Both of my kids play soccer and handball, and I am my son’s football coach. I LOVE watching them play.

Hmm, good question, again. Maybe they will be surprised to hear I have worked as a divemaster in Australia and Indonesia (Bali)!
There are TONS of things to look forward to in the next year! We are VERY well positioned, and I look forward to seeing our business grow in all aspects, from the product being enhanced to welcoming more customers, partners and, not the least, colleagues to EazyStock!
